ASECAP demonstrates a sustainability ambition consistent with its role as a sectoral federation, notably through an annual Sustainability Forum, a permanent Environment and Safety Committee, and positions on the European Taxonomy. However, the discourse remains largely declarative: commitments are framed in generic terms ('carbon-free', 'sustainable') without aggregated indicators, consolidated sustainability reports, or publicly accessible quantified targets. As a lobbying association, the tension between representing toll operators' interests and genuine climate ambition remains an unaddressed blind spot.
